Staff meeting 2013-06-10
Yep, it’s that time of the month again! The keen eye may have noticed there wasn’t a news post for last month’s meeting. The reason for that is that the meeting was the shortest ever and nothing noteworthy was discussed. Anyway, back to this month…
LAN T-shirts
For those not yet in the know, Will has arranged T-shirts for all the LAN-go’ers. You have to pay for it yourself though! If you’re interested, contact Will – he’ll be able to give you all the details!
Spam binds
Please be reminded once again that, when you wear the TC tag and avatar (which we very much prefer you do), you represent the community wherever you go and whatever you do. If you are a dick to someone on a pub or in a match, they will not remember your name – they will remember “oh, it’s those dicks from TC”.
This is a very big deal to me. I pay for your servers and technically what you’re doing is just giving me the finger. You’re also making the rest of the community look bad. Please, just don’t do it.
Vibes to fold
After months of struggling to find the perfect line-up and only ever finding themselves with people with different mindsets and different goals in the game, Vibes have finally waved France’s secondary flag (the white one).
Recruiting new team(s)
With Vibes disappearing soon and the recent fold of Classic, it’s about time we start looking for new folks.
Just yesterday I spoke to swellfoop, leader of a team already using our mumble, the Mighty Morphing Flower Arrangers, about trialing for us. They are:
- swellfoop
- jackson550
- KraKen
- Lythiium
- Pilk
- Dagun
We will spend a week or maybe a bit longer to see how well they fit in and whether or not they actually like us. Make sure you hop in their channel some time and explain them how the linking channels thing works!
TC members without a team
We’ve been around for 3 years now, and have, over time, seen many teams and people come and go. Some we never see again, others stick around (because they realise how amazing we are!). Until now we’ve not really had anything for these lovely folks (like how our TF2 players have their TF2 teams).
To remedy this, TurboTabs, he himself being one of those people, came up with the idea to create a fun team on ETF2L, and invite every TC community member there. If you haven’t received your invitation to this team yet, feel free to contact anyone with leader access to the team: http://etf2l.org/teams/18181/.
Academy mentoring
Our Academy team is performing and improving impressively well. They have only one game left to play in the current ETF2L season, and so far they haven’t dropped a single point yet. That said, they have a lot to learn yet. Luckily we still have Reditio, another perfect example of a team that is performing and improving impressively well, and the guys there have been helping our Academy members with any and all questions and problems they may have.
The End
